TILED ROOFS

Tiled roofs have a relatively long lifespan but may sometimes need a bit of maintenance,  replacements to broken or damaged tiles, and repair to leadwork or ridges. These can help prolong this lifespan a little further.

Inevitably though, as with all tiled roofs, there will probably come a time when either due to age or water penetration, it would be best to have your roof replaced.

Our tiled roofs are always installed using the most up to date and highest quality roofing materials and we always use the best methods of installation, to ensure our roof installations are of the highest standards and come with a 10-year guarantee.

SLATE ROOFS

Slate roofs can last a long time without the need to be re-installed. The nails holding the slate in position will fail long before any sign of slate erosion becomes a problem. More often than not the only issues you will find is that slates will slip down a roof, causing rainwater to penetrate the building. This may be a simple solution, such as correcting an incorrect fixing and re-positioning the slate. With bits of maintenance like this you can prolong the lifespan of your roof.

However, sometimes as pointed out above, the nails holding your slate in position may have begun to fail and if this is the case, then the roof will sooner or later need to be replaced. The general condition of the slate on an average roof means you can usually salvage and re-use majority of the slate tiles on your roof during the re-install.
